You won't get into trouble, unless you start making flippant comments about assasinations which get taken seriously
What you are doing, though, is giving a private company an enormous amount of information about you including every website you visit. They can then target advertising to you, and unlike other browsers I'm led to believe it's near enough impossible to block adverts in Chrome.
There's nothing inherently wrong or underhand about this, but consider recent data losses and ask yourself if you're really comfortable for an organisation to hold so much information about you.
If you're happy with Chrome then carry on using it. Personally IE8 and a halfway decent hosts file is fine for me, others swear by Firefox with Adbock.Useful F1 Twitter thingy: http://goo.gl/6PO1u

OK! so when I start getting too much adverts, I'll erase this browser and all it's derivatives. Right now, I don't get any adverts sent to me. Nobody wants me.
