    I think Josh has to go in as favourite, but I agree, it is gunna be tough up front. I reckon there will be at least two Honda's and maybe a Duc&KTM to keep him company.

    ASBK have gone for a control tyre for the first time this year, many teams have had little to no access to the rubber and those that have say it is hard rubber. There have been many grip related falls in private practice to date.

    I am off to the Island now, hope its a good weekend without too much rain.

    Taking into account the tyre issues, the lap times were pretty good when compared with the WSBK times.

    PS....Waters' bike looks the ant's pants too.

    Supersports – Race #1
    Christian Casella, riding a Triumph Daytona for the newly formed and factory supported Triumph team has taken the first race win of the Australian Supersport Championship. Running in fourth place for most of the race, Christian took the lead late in the race to win.
    Only 0.045seconds behind was privateer Broadie Waters riding a Suzuki GSXR and third place went to Troy Herfoss from Team Suzuki, also on a Suzuki GSXR.
    Over 20 seconds behind were the Yamaha’s of Ben Burke and Blake Leigh Smith in forth and fifth place respectively.

    Superstocks 600 – Race summary (Races 2 and 3)
    Superstocks have completed their racing for the weekend with Race 2 and 3 conducted today. Yamaha have the stronghold of the field after Round 1 with two first places today. Eighteen year old Aaron Morris won Race 2 and Carew Dikinson from NSW winning Race 3.

    Stroud Takes Second Win , Bugden DNF's

    Andrew Stroud put a hand firmly on the Superbike Trophy today winning the second race at the 4th round of the Castrol Power 1 Superbike Championships at Manfeild today. Defending Robbie Bugden didn't finish after his bike died on the front straight while behind Stroud.

    Team Honda riders Craig Shirriffs and Hayden Fitzgerald finished second and third.Sloan Frost did a fine race to finish 4th , James Smith 5th.

    Hopkins back racing this weekend on a Suzuki ....I hope he does well after a rough couple of years.
