Campos's team lodges F1 entry

The Campos Racing team has confirmed its intention to enter Formula 1 in 2010, having lodged its entry for the championship tonight.
The team, currently racing in the Spanish Formula 3 Championship, is owned by former grand prix driver Adrian Campos, who previously owned current GP2 champion Barwa Addax. This was initially believed to be the team which had F1 plans, something that was denied earlier this week.
Campos Racing confirmed on Friday that at 00:05 it had lodged its entry for the championship under the budget cap rules.
The official period to submit entries for next year opened today and closes on May 29.
Campos said it has lodged its entry in conjunction with Meta Image, and that the F1 team would be called Campos Meta 1.
The team said it was unwilling to reveal the people involved in the project, but denied reports that appeared in the Spanish media about some of the investors linked to it.
Spain's top-selling newspaper Marca had reported earlier this week that Mexican businessman Carlos Slim and NBA player Pau Gasol were involved in the project.2006 GO!

Judging by the forumers interest on this entry it's obvious that Ferrari have a point when they belittle these new entries.

You can tell that before they've ever turned a wheel? I'm not a fan of the cap or what it could mean but to outright dismiss anyone who wants to join F1 before they begin is just as wrong.
I think some of the potential people could do very well - ie, Prodrive - so won't dismiss anyone before I even see what they can do. They at least have GP2 experience.:champion: WRC3 championship, WRC4 championship, WRC4 PCWRC, WRC4 ERC

A Spanish team in F1...
I donīt know if itīs good or bad. Good because itīs Spanish and Iīd like to see them doing something right, but at the same time I seriously fear what will happen in the media. It happened with Alonso, and can come back:
-Campos! How are you doing?
-Campos... I had some trouble with the Campos in the Campos...
- Oh... I understand. Have you tried the Campos?
-Yes, but it does not work with Campos. So I shoult tell Campos that I canīt do it.
- I see. Well, good luck and Campos!Cuando el grajo vuela bajo hace un frío del carajo

Anyway, I always liked Adrian Campos, and I want to see him take revenge on Alonso... Some people still remember Alonso saying no one helped him to get into F1, forgetting about Campos.
Imagine Alonso racing for Campos Meta 1 XD.Cuando el grajo vuela bajo hace un frío del carajo

I wonder were they're going to design and build an F1 car? Surely not the same place they do small changes to their F3 Dallara!

Ladies and Gentlemen. I give you the SS Formula 1.
'The talks are still at an early stage, but are we in talks? Yes,'' team boss James Vowles revealed in Miami. ''I've known Adrian for a while and I spoke to him on Friday. I am also pretty sure I...
