AFAIK he didn't start because of Ypres. I think that the team was afraid not to crash the car in Hustopeče. You know with Petter there is always a good chance of some accident.

Short summary of my day. Beautiful summer weather, nice places and everyone friendly everywhere I was. Nice change from some other Czech events.

A bit accidentally I got to an awesome place for the last stage - a high speed sharp right-hander over a big crest on a narrow road. A lot of the cars were jumping at least a little but it was Kopecký who overshoot the most. He flew nearly into the bank on the left side of the road and landed into full brakes nearly spinning (on 5th gear).

Hustopeče has been always a lot about power (and torque) as there are many accelerations from first gear, some rpm limiter straights etc. That's why Dohnal was so fast today. It's very difficult for S2000 cars. On the other hand Valoušek did his best rally in CZ in years and Štajf definitely surprised everyone. Odložilík also drove very nice everywhere I was.

One more info. The reason why Kopecký was slow on the first stage today is that he caught Grzyb on the half-circuit and in the end needed to push him to pass him. As a result of the incident Kopecký cracked his radiator and was lucky to finish the loop. Valoušek also reported issues with coolant leak and Grzyb on the other hand complained about lack of power.

Pech retired after he took third rear tire off the rim. It wasn't a technical problem per se but he said he was frustrated as he didn't know why it kept repeating again and again.

Aren't these tyres too narrow for his rims?

I think that what You see on Jarek's photo is front tyre put in the rear. You can carry only one spare in Porsche and since it is impossible to put the big rear wheel on front axle You have to use the smaller one as spare.

By the way he used Pirelli in Krumlov and Hankook in Šumava. I am going to find out for Hustopeče.
