Ok then guys (and an aliens out there that fancy having a go), heres the off season DTM challenge.

Takes place at the Norisring, and is similiar to the event i ran last year, which was similiar to the special event that took place at the norisring (while i was there) with mansell, prost and a few others.

This event is split in 2 parts.

You will race all 3 manufacterers in both time trial and the races.
No practise allowed for the time trial. Its straight into it, but its upto which order you want to drive the cars in.
For arguements sake, the cars to use will be: (so we will all use the same car)
Audi - Christian Abt
Mercedes - Jean Alesi
Opel - Laurent Aiello
(basically the first in the list for each manufacterer)


Part 1 - Time Trial
3 laps (in each car), default setup. Submit fastest time for each car.

Part 2 - The Races
Practise - 10 laps max for each car. So, you cant do 5 in one, 15 in another etc.
Grid - start at the back
Distance - 6 laps
No Pit stops
Default opposition
Difficulty - Custom 100%
Setup - Default
Corner Cutting - On
Wrong Way - On (as if you'd forget which way to drive)
Dangerous Driving - Off (lets have some classic door banging and paint swapping)
Yellow flags - On
Restarts - allowed upto the end of lap 2
Submit fastest lap and overall time for car.


The times will be added together, so there'll be several chances to win in this thing.
- Time Trial Winner
- Overall Fastest Lap from both time trial and race.
- Fastest single race time.
- Fastest combined race times.
- Fastest overall combined times (from time trial and race).

You have 2 or so weeks to complete this. So, times are due on or about the 18th December (this year).

Dont worry about adding the times up, i can do that, but if you want to add them up you can do. It'll help spot any mistakes that might happen.

Finished the time trial this AM while Emma took her nappy

Ran the marques in reverse alpha order (Opel, Merc, Audi). Was interesting comparing engine notes. Think I like the Opel's best, while the Audi sounds vaguely like a NASCAR!

Should have been a bit more aggressive with the kerbs, and there was less than 2/10ths difference amongst marques.


Did poorly at this venue last year in racer69s DTM (but so did Homer :laugh , and doubt I'll do much better this time, but I do like this concept

i'll say that times need to be in by the 20th, so i can get them released before christmas

only a couple of days to go to complete this..

if everyones busy with christmas shopping, then i can hold off till after christmas, say the 28th. Then get the results up before new year.

i have lugnuts, raikkonenrules, tannats and mine so far.
