it needs to be fair, everyone on equal terms.

i dont understand how you think its like f1 though? especially looking how things are this year.
IMO it is cheesy to change the rules when two competitors have an advantage... I am sure that even if diesels are banned, Pug and Audi will be the best - when they build the new cars. To change things mid-season is very bad IMO.
The other thing is to limit design with restrictive rules, like in F1 or Rolex. I don't want this. We have too many racing series where cars are on "equal terms"...

The point is that they run a different fuel. If they ran petrol they would no doubt run into the distance still, but that would be okay because they'd all be to the same rules. It's not about pegging back the fast cars, it's about equalising two very different sorts of cars.

If the diesel is allowed, they were clever to use it. IMO it is wrong to penalize them for being smart...

Does anyone know when (or even if!) the complete final driver line ups will be posted? Alternatively, do you know the line ups for the 3 Audis and Peugeots?

Audi didn't comunicate their line-up yet me thinks

    Peugeot line-up:
    #7 Lamy-Minassian-Klien
    #8 Sarrazin-Bourdais-Montagny
    #9 Brabham-Wurz-Gené
    #17(under Pescarolo livery) Pagenaud-Boullion-Tréluyer

About the Audi R15s line-up in fact you take the same drivers of last year, but you replace Biela and Pirro by Dumas and Bernhardt

You misunderstand - it's not pegging back faster cars, it's trying to equalise two different sets of rules which were meant to be equal all along.

IMO if this is done, it should be said what will be the new rules NOW for the NEXT season.

Exactly! Nobody is stopping all the other teams from building diesels. Let's not "dumb down" sports car racing, too! If some of the "let's all be equal" fans had their way, all the entrants would be driving the sportscar version of NASCAR's "Car of Tomorrow."

Perhaps there should be a "D1" class for diesels?
