Yes, I did (my second biggest achievement of 2008, just behind winning the CMR2 BRC Rookie of the Year title...). And I found a job too

This looks similar to that test rally we had a few weeks ago. I was happy with some stage times on the test, but need to curb my limits on the longer stages, I think. I haven't yet decided what car I'll be pioneering for the rally (i.e what skin) but it will definitely be S2000 category. When the Peugeot comes available, I may switch to using that anyway, I will see.

    Well done kabouter

    Shakedown Complete:

    3.00.43
    2.56.99
2.54.60 (v.strong brakes and short gearbox)
    2.59.83

The Peugeot is great around the stages, but I still crash way too much!

Did our shakedown in the Pug and was really impressed by the car's handling. Used a similar set up to the C4 in WRC and with some minor tweaks it seems to be working well. Although how that will relate to the snowier stages is anyone's guess!!!

    Basic Set up:
    Suspension - hardest setting
    Power - -2 to rear
Brake bias - -1 towards rear
    Gearbox - -1 towards shorter

    2:48.23
    2:55.11...had a meeting with a wall!
2:46.70...switched brake balance further towards the rear - seemed to allow cleaner turn in and shortened the gear ration further.
2:51.11...messy run and missed a gear change!

Think there's more to come as i'm losing hefty chunks of time every sector compared to my WRC times on this stage.

Just did a quick shakedown run of my new Fiat Punto Abarth S2000 and managed a time of 02:52.60 in my second run. The car is performing very well and if I have time to compete in the rally itself, I hope to set some decent times despite a lack of recce time.
