Metallica : Death Magnetic
What a cracking album...
The first tune "That was just your life" is such a pump up..
Nice work boys!

I heard a few tracks which were streamed on their website...yes a definite improvement over the s**t which they put out as album last time out.
Will probably buy this album sometime, although I am not sure they are classics...good tempo, some decent thrashy riffs but something seems to be missing...anyways we should not expect it to be a a new Master of Puppets.Tito Vilanova = :champion:

Reminded me of The Black Album - I didn't think it was anything special, from the songs I have listened to.

I'm a lifelong fan - I even found some bits I liked in St Anger.
Death Magnetic however is awesome. There's some nods to the past - some very 'Justice For All' era guitar parts on 'Broken, Beat & Scarred' and some bits looking forward too. Really like the solo in My Apocalypse.
The whole album just makes me think this is Metallica just being Metallica in a studio, having fun, enjoying it and doing it on their own terms. Best album I've heard in yearsTop Tip - Pretend you have an iPad by drawing the internet on an Etch-A-Sketch.

Great album. Preffered the 'tallica stuff inspired and/or written by Mustaine, but this is still an awesome album. The best since AJFA

Watershed by Opeth is the best metal album released this year IMO. It's going to be hard for any band to beat it.

Devil Driver has a couple good songs. The new Slipknot isnt bad. I really like what I have heard from the new Metallica. Some good metal coming out.
Yes indeed, i seen that over the top is an understatement . So if a car is half on half off and blocking the stage unless the crew can get the road clear by themselves the stage will be...
