Actually, lots of riders complained about the changing surface having no grip. Most thought the layout was pretty good and overall it's satisfactory for a first up attempt but some safety aspects have to be better next year.

I'm soo happy for Ant, hopefully he can keep it going for the rest of the weekend and give Kawasaki a long overdue win. How amusing would it be if the on-his-way-out West got Team Green their first win before their prized recruit in Hopkins. It would be like deja vu for Hopper to have a less fancied teammate score a win before him!

Anyone notice that the race is completely missing from NBC TV Schedules in your area ? I am unable to find the race listed on the NBC affiliate KARE NBC out of Minneapolis. I've been seeing other comments across the gunternet about the race not being broadcast in many areas.

What the f*** ? How does having a historic race in the US and not broadcasting the crap out of it everywhere help to build MotoGP popularity ???
    go speed racer go

And thus ends any dreams of West/Kawasaki competitiveness.
Massive effort by Ben Spies to qualify 5th. Also nice to see Nicky back up the front for his Honda farewell tour . Looks like Michelin have improved as well.

Seems the Indy people love to promote the past and present, which is good for the sport.

One thing I noticed from the IMS site: Who needs those umbrella girls posing like cops that the real Gold Shirts would object (Rizla+)? Who needs these half-dressed women parading around the grid when Tissot has Danica Patrick in an Tissot sport shirt and slacks presenting the top riders with their prizes? Her dad got a ride in the 2-seat MotoGP bike.
