What would you create?
Given a blank license to create ANY racing sim, what would you create? Be specific as to what cars, championships, tracks etc you would include...

i think i'll go for the whole thing
All real life race circuits, in all configurations, all real life race series (past and present with real drivers) avaliable on any circuit, in almost any weather condition. And the bonuses of the big name series such as F1, dtm, v8's, btcc, wtcc, f3000/gp2, f3 and perhaps a few others that have a 10 year span in..like 1996-2006/7, with changes from season to season as it was in real life.
Plus the most amazing super duper absolutley fantastic graphics, AI and handling machines. Difficulty from lapping the field at the end of lap 1 to been lapped for the 2nd time at the end of lap 1 in stages of 1%.
i think that'll keep me happy till the end of time (if not, till the new version comes out )
How do I print my voicemail?

I'd create a career style Super Touring BTCC game. Starting with the Feista trophy at the start of the 1990's up the support championships untill you join the BTCC with an Privateer entry in 1994. You work your way up untill you get a good works drive (with Nissan or Renault etc..) then win the championship.
It would include the most recent BTCC season aswell and you would be able to race btcc cars from different era's against each other. (Which would win a Honda Integra(2006) or Alfa Romeo 155? ) Road versions of all the cars would be included and it would have ultra realistic handling.
All of the btcc tracks would be included and some famous international circuits (Spa, Old Nurbergring, Le Mans, Laguna Seca, Bathust etc..) The races would include changing weather, safety cars, green flag laps before the race, official practise sessions and qualifying.
Can I have a few $100,000 to make it?Tazio 14/3/2015: I'll give every member on this forum 1,000.00 USD if McLaren fails to podium this season!

I would make a rally game where you start from privateer running in a car from the top 20 in the entry and move up from Single Venue to a single make, to national championships, to international to WRC. Then, when complete you begin to make your own team using the prize money you've won from your driving era. You still have the option to drive for your own team.
Also, i would give the option of driving the road sections during the rally to add to the realism. I would also have the stages run at real time so a stage which would take say 10 minutes to drive in real life would take 10 minutes to drive on the game.
Cars would be from privateer Escort Mk2's etc to the WRC cars and Group N, S2000 and JWRC.
Now, where do i sign

My thought too JJ, and on top you have timing on the road sections and if you can catch other cars on stage. Also, on the single venues i would use splits and merges and also youstart with like 10, you buy a standard car and use you 10k to buy safety stuff then upgrade with reward money.
My idea of FUN!!!!The only way on a leaderboard is up.....until you crash!!!!!

This is already basically being done as a mod for rfactor, but my game would be based around what for me really was the golden era of touring car racing, Group A touring cars from the 1980s (well, it lasted in Australia & Germany until the end of 1992, and carried on in Japan until 1993)
All the major championships from the era would be included, the WTCC, ETCC, BTCC, DTM, ATCC etc etc, all the cars....
But as i said this is already being made for rfactor, i just can't think of much better.
Having said that i would love a 'TOCA 1 & 2' style sim based around the BTCC to be made, say (for arguments sake) based around the 2006 BTCC.
Include all the cars that ran last year, have accurate race formats, weight penalties, reverse grids etc.. as there are in the series. Include Formula Fords, Fiesta's or whatever as well as some support categories, and really put the effort in like they did originally, rather than the 'bits of everything' Codemasters have these days, which hurts the ultimate driving experience in my opinion as the emphasis is on the amount of cars, and not on the driving experience.

It would be a GT Legends era cars with Live For Speed type physics on normal tracks or +20 km special stages on normal roads.

A game like the TOCA race driver games but improving it, you start in a lower category and make up your way to F1 or a top touring category, but years also advance so you might start karting in 1995 and make your debut in F1 in 2004, having virtually all tracks in the world, as every category would have the real tracks they have(not like in TRD· where the European Karting champ races in Australia), a lot of work in the AI so unless you're in easy mode you won't be able to lap the whole field easily.
Also another similar game but focused on rallying, where the stages are as long as in real life and you start in lower categories in national championshipsFan of Timo Glock and proud of it! :champion: 3 podiums, new start as a Virgin :p

I would careat a rally game MadCat style but I would add the possibility of creating you own pace notes. The game would have a series of notes which you would combine in oreder to make your own pacenotes. It would also have some memory space so you could create your own commands.
There WAS nothing like rallying, Superrally is a joke!

Tänak got 20 points closer to Evans, but as the main reason was a bad rally for Evans, I would say that Evans lost 20 points to Tänak, not Tänak gained. The point is, if the other one does not...
