The biggest problem with this is that BBC has the right to broadcast but they don't have an obligation to broadcast. If a Formula1 and MotoGP race fall on the same weekend you can bet that MotoGP will get the bump.

Yup, red button treatment. As long as they let us know it's on then I don't mind what channel I have to watch it on. I think that it's one of the most successful weekend daytime programmes that the Beeb has so they will probably still give it some credit.

Would have thought that the F1 show would have to announce if it was on red button so could lead to a few more fans Fingers crossed

There are 2 main problems with BBC

Firstly, if it gets the red button treatment it makes it impossible to Sky+ if you're going to miss it

Secondly, the commentary team isn't a patch on Eurosport. The BBC coverage is too dumbed down.

Won't they put F1 on to BBC1 and Moto GP on BBC2???

F1 on BBC1 because I used to remember watching the Eastenders omnibus afterwards.

There's a bit on crash.net (named for what all the adverts do to your browser, presumably) where somebody from the BBC has replied to some of the issues. Apparently, F1 and MotoGP don't clash. Dorna rig the calendar to make sure of that. Even when they're on the same day they're at different times, so it's not an issue.

Try Firefox with the "ad block plus" add on. Makes crash.net a nice ad free site

I found adverts are sometime useful, they lead me to go somewhere previously I didn't know.

F1 and motoGP might not have their time clashed, superbike I think have some races fall on the same time zone with F1. They give me hard choice, Massa is sometimes impressive.
