Looks like Eurosport is going to do massive coverage of Monte Carlo rally. They will do not less then four hours live coverage, with five special stages covered live. It is first time in history of rally that this is the case (that is what is told).

Great news, this is a big step for IRC and rallying in general. Live coverage from proper stages is what we need!

Monte 2009 should have a fantastic entry list too.

Somebody knows if this live transmission is only for Monte .... or the other rallys have the same ?

I think this is the answer that rallys need..... live stages on TV ! Promotion .

Make the rally a attractive market with more and more things like this.

I think it would generate a nice profits for everyone !

The MotorSport World , and Rallys in particular , needs a TV Channel to make live broadcasts of all Rallys a bit all over the world.

From CIR , Spanish ,French , Czech , Bulgarian, Portuguese , Hungarian , ERC Rallys , IRC Rallys , WRC Rallys ... well .... a bit of all Championships and Rallys , as is done with football.

I know , i'm dreaming a bit ..... but ..first the idea ... after ...the completion.

I hope one day access to a service like that .... This is what I call quality of life .

Looks like Monte Carlo 2009 will have 359 KMs of special stages, so i don't think you can say that it is short rally, especially when you compare with other rally's in IRC. It is indeed short if you compare with the sixties, but hey, that was another period and i don't think that those days will appear again.

I read another interview with Quesnel saying that Loeb could drive other cars next year (due to shorter WRC calendar) but only Peugeots. Seb would not do Monte unless he can compete for a win so this would be great news!
