Interesting qualifying order for this one. Rahal in 3rd, Rice 5th, Foyt 8th, Bruno 9th (??) and Servia 10th.
My boy John is back there in 12th.

Wow, there seem to be an awful lot of empty seats around RIR. Seems like only the front stretch is occupied at all...

Roth last in the running order - I guess that qualifying speed was just because the track was fast at the end of the session.

It was a good crowd especially for a race in the heart of NASCAR country. Richmond holds 112,000 and looked like about that the front stretch was full so I would guestimate aroung 50,000 to 60,000.
I look forward to the day when IndyCar will be able to fill the whole seating bowl like the cabs do. Would be an incredible sight.HOO HOO HOO HOOSIERS !

That was some kind of a joke....crash, yellow, ...please let these cars and drivers race sensible tracks not a 16/18 second short oval.

That was not, was i was hoping for. Here in europe the race was at 2.00 am, at i didn't go top bed to watch it live. I thought it would be very interesting with the leaders has to overtake lapped drivers all over the race. But everytime when the leaders reached the back of the field, thy brought out another yellow...
