Alternate Point System After Talladega
Still no 2 point bonus added. If I can't get fastest lap data, I'm thinking about using the guy who gains the most positions in a race, or the leader at halfway.
This week, the top four drivers are different in each system.
My Top 15:
1. Ky. Busch 1244
2. Burton 1230 (-14)
3. Hamlin 1149 (-95)
4. Earnhardt 1144 (-100)
5. Johnson 1115 (-129)
6. Harvick 1081 (-163)
7. Edwards 1022 (-222)
8. Stewart 1017 (-227)
9. Bowyer 1016 (-228)
10. Biffle 993 (-251)
11. Newman 942 (-302)
12. J. Gordon 887 (-357)
13. Montoya 821 (-423)
14. Khane 820 (-424)
15. Ragan 809 (-435)

Andrew, If you are looking for the fastest lap, look at the official results page for each race down at the bottom. The contingincy awards are listed there and you can find the "Goodyear Gatorback Fastest Lap". Here it shows Dale Jr had the fastest lap @ Phoenix. Kyle Busch had the fastest lap in the Daytona 500, etc, etc.¿Quién es el que anda aquí?

That's for the fastest lap while leading the race. I'm looking for the fastest lap run in any position.

Hey Andrew! If you're that bored you could take a ride north on the PA turnpike and I'll give you some windows to wash. What is your point with this alternate points system? I'm just sayin'......

Well the main complaints I hear about the point system include too wide a gap between positions at the back, not paying enough for the winner, and making some races more important than others. So I've tried to make a system that (I think) would make everyone happy.
It's more of an obsession than boredom.racing-reference.info/showblog?id=1785
