    Jelley not set for Rockingham?

There's an issue because of Jelley being committed to racing GP2 Asia for next weekend, so his attendance at Rockingham is looking a bit wobbly.

I did notice there was a date clash, but I didn't expect him to dessert Team RAC in favour of GP2.
    You lot still here?!

Talking I thought we'd got the puns out of the way in his F3 days...

I should think he can get out of the GP2 Asia deal; if I recall the team dropped him earlier in the season, so they shouldn't have any grounds to complain...

If we're in need of replacements, though, how about rallycross driver Chris Cake? Or perhaps the wonderfully-named World Series driver Bertrand Baguette? He's not strictly a dessert but knowing the British weather he could soon become an iced bun...

    Very clever!

I'm surprised that with these details seemingly known by both parties, especially Team RAC before they even signed him, that things could have got this stage with Jelley "a doubt" for Rockingham - surely Dick Bennetts or Jelley could have sorted this out some time ago.

Yup, give him one series to focus on and he'll cream the opposition.

Dick Bennetts wants Stephen Jelley mould into a touring car driver.

Thanks for providing me with such amusement so early on a Saturday morning!
