And can't the car lose a bit of acceleration from the slow corners if the tyre instead of griping to the tarmac is spinning more than it is supposed to? Just asking I'm not an technical expertize.

Of course it can but I don't see that in videos. I see some powersliding when it's in high rpm but that's not the case of hairpins. It reminds me a bit the S2000 behavior. But let's see the times on stages.
