WRC Testing

I have a feeling those WRC17 cars are too fast and too hard to handle. Could end up in a fatal crash and new regulations in 18. Dont like the widen either. How will it track on second run in gravel and snow/ice events?

It will look ridiculous if they dont widen the rest of the bodyshell aswell, those wheel arches look big enough to have a dinner table on them.

I believe that regulations says that some parts (like doors, bonnet and roof) must be in original places.

So far the available test footage has been supporting the supposition that the new cars would appear boring with circuit-like clean lines

How is that better for the sport? Do they have their heads in the sand? The current cars are faster than Gp B - so what? The sport lacks spectacle - these cars won't help bring more interest to the sport.

It seems like they've seen the success of WorldRX - and have panicked - and decided they must have cars similar to a WorldRX car.

I hope I'm wrong, but I fear they gone in the wrong direction with car regs - again!

Is this car a 2015/16 Polo with new aerodynamic parts on it, or is this close to what we can expect for 2017? Particularly sound/speed wise? Ive not been keeping a track of how far advanced VW are with their new car

Fairly sure that's the real deal, new engine and all.

I would think it will look slightly different because I read somewhere VW is supposed to release a new Polo in 2017.
