but that can be misleading too.
Well yeah... We just need to remember last season when everyone thought Citroen would be the strong team. Look how well that turned out.

We can probably make a better assessment this year because the teams will develop what they have and we have a fair idea what they are starting from.

I don't think Citroen will improve much for instance and even if they sort out their issues and become competitive they don't have any quick consistent drivers.

Toyota has a strong line up but questionable pace on some events. Have a chance if they can get their car more reliable.

Msport will likely have the most reliable car also next year but I can't help but wonder if they can keep up with development.

Hyundai is the favorite if they can sort out their reliability. They have the strongest budget, driver line up and quickest car (and I don't expect that to change). They have no excuses next year.

...but i might be 100 percent wrong. That's the fun bit about a new season. So many unknown factors.

About Citroen. I don't think it's quite true, because C3 actually was fast car out of the box, but it had, as Matton expressed, "limited operating window" issue.
So going back to testing videos, I think you can judge speed from a video, it's just that you see it on this specific road/conditions, but it doesn't mean the same will be on a rally stage.
