"What", Peyton Manning is a pretty darn good quaterback.

Parcell, I would retire also if I had to put up with T.O.

    Muggle,

What I'm referring to is that a number of winning Superbowl quarterbacks have not had what you would call stellar careers, but they have a SuperBowl ring and in some cases were MVP.

i.e. Mark Rypien, Jeff Hostetler, Doug Williams, Jim Plunkett etc.

Look at how many QB's that dont have rings or mvp's.Warren Moon comes to mind, never have been played in a Super Bowl,Fran Tarkenton and others.Winning a title does help, but it is not the end all of being a great QB.

If it was last season, I couldn't argue, but the Preds and Hawks have split the four games they've played this year.

Dan Marino has no ring, but is the best pure passer ever to play IMO. Still holds a lot of passing records today.

I will take Sonny Jurgensen as the best pure passer. I have never seen anyone throw the ball as well as him. He was pure enjoyment to watch throwing. Jurgensen throwing a football was like watching Bill Mazerowski play second base.

I will take Russell coming in next year, He was too much fun when he played at LSU, with just the flick of his wrist, sails it 50 yards easily, He will also be fun to watch next year in the NFL along with Vince Young
