By the rules the limited slip differentials has to mechanical but does anyone know if they are using the LSDs at the central differential at all. I ask this because of what I’ve seen the drivers of the S2000 cars turn in to hairpins using the handbrake and that wouldn’t be possible if there was a LSD at the central differential. That would also explain (no LSD at the centre) why Renato Travaglia was faster in Madeira last year when it was wet but dropped behind when it started to dry up.

I assume the central differential is a planetary differential and I would also appreciate some information how a LSD is built into this kind of central differential.

Thank you!
