The point of formula 1 cars is to go around a track not make a noise. Deliberately making a car waste energy making a noise is stupid and fans who think that's at all important are equally stupid.

Um you do know what you were hearing is wasted energy that should be going to propelling the cars forward. Silent engines are engineering progress. I'm sure last years engines didn't sound the same...
