You probably missed crowds in 2009, that has nothing to do with Kubica, just crowd control was much better.

I don't think it's domination factor, I loved Loeb era but Ogier annoys me, it's about personality. The difference is Loeb was unbeatable in all conditions and didn't complain about rules or road...

He has won most of rallies sweeping without complaining :)

Those 2WD guys don't fight for overall position but best position in their class so I guess they don't care as it doesn't make any difference to them.
