Cant beat a good bit of bitchiness! TBH, it seems to me that after a while of reading and posting, ones mind becomes crammed with alsorts of info and we become "picky" about facts - a bit like school...

From recollection, his driving style was no more "ruthless" then most other racers. what did set him apart was his recklessness on the road which has been written about almost as much as his F1...

That looks SOOOO much better than almost anything put on the F1 grid in years!

2 choices for me -

for wheel users - Grand Prix Legends.
this game had (still has) a great online following with regular leagues and plenty of juicy updates for the Gfx/sfx. those 1967 cars...

the switch to 1.5l was a great idea - the old 2.5`s were just too powerful for the chassis/tyres/tracks of the day and lives were being lost. racing in the 50s was just too dangerous. the 1.5 era...

Schumi is just an old man racing for the fun of it... nothing wrong with that in itself but dont expect too much from the man, especially as he was never any better than average in any case!

Me, during my GPL sim racing days - i held up a 9 car queue for 11 laps of zandvoort before spinning at the last corner and causing a multiple pile up :)

i play rFactor quite a bit and tbh, i suck massively :) i can barely keep F1`s on the road, and you know when i do complete a lap its usually below my F3 pace!

And the answer to that my friend is almost as ambiguous as the best as the title "greatest" relies on a drivers popularity and that cannot be judged by current opinion alone. To get a true feeling...

TBH, all race engines sound better when your upclose with them - youtube etc doesnt do them justice... best engine i heard in person was a 3L Austin C-series in a Healy 3000 racer at a Cadwell...

I agree with V12, and have previously mentioned something similar on the main F1 forum when people slag off F1 drivers as being useless - to even get to F1 you have to be special.. most of us couldnt...

Problem with labeling someone as "best" is that you have to be specific about what they were best at...
