Nobody is asking Toyota to pull a car. Just select 2 of their 3 drivers to score manufacturer pts instead of all 3 - if Hyundai turn up with only two cars.

As Hyundai will only run with 2 cars (I presume/hope), there will be discussions ongoing now with the teams and FIA for Toyota to maybe only nominate 2 drivers before the rally, as their manufacturer...

Yes, I also think Hyundai moving into F1 is a pipedream atm. They are already too late to meet the new regs in 2026, and we have seen how long it has taken Audi to find a team to buy over and commit....

Lappi to Hyundai makes sense on both sides. He was the best attainable driver they could get, and he wasn't getting a full season at Toyota while Ogier is still kicking around.

Yep. This is also the 2nd or 3rd time now he has talked about how contracts can be broken/paid off/ mutually terminated when it's been put to him his two main drivers are under contract

Think he was meaning in ideal world, Solberg can run a full season (mostly without pressure of manufacturer pts in a 4th car), and the 3rd car be used giving Sordo a few more events

Dunno what everyone expects. Hyundai and Toyota have motorsport divisions (not just rallying) and stick with their now identifiable colour scheme.
