Often on Monte test the cars look bad or weird, a lot of it is they are testing all the tyre options so don’t have the maximum amount of grip.

Yeah, the Makinen one was a bad one.
Thankfully the lads are ok in this case, but I hope whatever damage has occurred isn’t a set back to the programme for the others. -

For me it’s the Toyota I don’t like, I can’t get used to the rake in the chassis. I quite like the Puma, the Hyundai seems a bit stretched, I actually prefer the Rally2 car.

It would be interesting to know what the actual causes for these accidents are, is it just the drivers getting caught out having a less capable car to the previous one? It is odd that there have been...

I guess they could have done without those conditions. While it might help on MC, creeping around at 50kph isn’t really loading up the car to get a good feel for it.
I also have an irrational hatred... -

I also wonder if the hybrid boost/re-gen could be a big differentiator between even different drivers with the same car. If one guys style just doesn’t work the system the right way, it ‘could’ be a...

I’m with you, I think the testing ramped up a notch this week. The cars look more edgy for sure.
Let’s see what this ‘real’ Hyundai is like when some videos appear. -

I would say the Puma does look stiffer than the Fiesta from the videos we have seen, and in honesty better for it, yet the Hyundai appears to have gone the opposite direction on the evidence we see...

I’ve avoided saying anything for the same reason, but I have to agree there is something odd about the way it squats and understeers under power. Looks really strange.

I disagree, I think the car looks to have a much better and stable rear end than the current Fiesta. It squares up well and drives forward on power and doesn’t seem to over pitch or over rotate off...
