So far a very easy event for Loix in Sezoens. Princen is nowhere near, currently even behind Verschueren on third place. Good drive from Steven Wright so far.

I am just back of the Sezoensrally. It was a great day.
It was good to see that Loix was attacking like hell in the beginning of the rally, while usually Princen is a bit faster than him in the beginning. Loix said before the rally that he will go full attack from the beginning.
Wright was happy with the 3rd place. Last year he was also 3rd in this rally, but this year all top drivers made it to the finish. He promised to be back next year in this rally. :) Verschueren lost one minute in SS12 Goolder due to a loose manhole cover and made so a mistake. Snijers could test only 20 km before the rally in the Fiesta R5 Evo which he hired from an Italian team. Maybe he should do also Ypres with this car if there is enough budget. Kenis was the only WRC at the start and he had a lot of pleasure.
Tom van Rompuy did his best result ever in the BRC with a 7th place overall. :) I had for the first time a meet with forum member br21 of this team. That was also very nice. :)
Steve Bécaert was just like last year in the top 10. Next weekend he will drive for the first time a R5 car (DS3) in the ORC Rally, a popular regional rally. He will do the other rallies this year probably again with his Lancer, but next year he wants to drive a R5 car in the Belgian rally championship.
I spoke just with Hein Jonkers, 9th overall, and his Lancer was more a Mitsubishi Mirage R5 due to a mistake. :p He said that he is hoping to come back next year in this rally with the beautiful old Lancer.
Local hero Gunther Monnens retired with a broken engine in SS3. The other main retirements were Jourdan Serderidis (DS3 R5) in SS2 and Jonas Langenakens (Lancer Evo 9) in SS7.

Nice event, quite special with so much gravel, but interesting.
