Oh my gosh!!!
I hereby officially apologize to the IRL and its fans for every joke (and there were LOTS of them) I ever made about their spec Dallara Lawn Darts being the ugliest formula cars ever created.
Awful and ugly don't even begin to cover how bad those things look!!!

Elegant.
I have slagged off the Indy cars in the past few years as well. Normally good looking cars win the championship in F1, what will happen this year. These new cars almost look as bad as that dodgy williams from a few years back....The new Indy cars look great for 2012.
The new Indy Cars are sexy. I hope that they are safe.
That's a nice shot of the Lotus Indycar. fans of tradional indycars aren't big fans of it, but we each have different problems with various parts of it.
it's ok. I got used to f1 cars being ugly with those hideous dis proportioned wings... and after all it's all about being fast... being beautiful it's just the cherry on top of the cake... and the DRS as the $h1t icing on the cake
i can't help thinking that i wouldn't want to be sat in a car that's side on across the track with that high nose bearing down on me. it'd take your head clean off. airborne cars from nose to wheel contact could be a feature this year.
mclaren has the best(read conventional) looking car at the moment. either they've got it right and everyone else is wrong or they'll have another season of playing catch up.
Comparing the pictures above I have to say that I like a current F1 car more than the new DW12 Indycar. People may call F1's nose 'legoescue', but to me it makes even less sense, why should the sidepods of an IndyCar widen so much backwards - it makes the car look really boxy. Or I am just so used to F1's really tight and compact designs. :)
