i think in portugal
I've been wondering how there can be National cars in the main event, although the rally take's place in Europe. Would be nice if other rallies had those cars too.
No, No, No old cars. Banning evo9 is best thing in many years.
Support events (like Vetomies in Finland) are OK and enough.
WRC events should be for FIA car only. (I count R-GT as FIA car)
No need for old mitsu or civic, there are more than enough rallies for those.
And what if you are a driver, with an older car and want to compete on the same roads as the WRC drivers? Should you not be allowed to do that? Shouldn't rallying be about anyone being able to rally, not just the ones that can afford the top cars?
On that note, you might find some of the older cars drivers have far more talent and are also more spectacular to watch than a gentleman driver in a WRC car (except for obviously the crash factor with the gentleman drivers).
There is also the fact that it's bloody expensive to run a WRC event, so often the organisers need to have other people competing to help pay for the cost...
Don't be so selfish, just because you don't want to see some cars. You can always close your eyes or leave...
Couldn't disagree with you more there - maybe to a point, but banning cars like last generation version of the Evo or Impreza, or the older generation of R3 and R2 cars just seems counterproductive. So what if they're not going to win a class, they still give someone a chance to go out and rally and add a bit of variety for the roadside spectators.
Nice to see Martin KOČI back and in a Fabia.
Waiting to see Suninen on tarmac, will there be improvement or same disappointment as many other finns before him.
