What a fantastic race! It will be great to see Japan goes nuts over this!

I hate to be biased on an event, but once I discovered Fernando Alonso was going to be in the mix, I was pulling for him (along with the McLaren namesake), then Marco Andretti and Takuma Sato . Sato I wasn’t so sure about even though he managed a good grid position, he clipped the wall twice during qualifying – so I was worried he couldn’t pull it off.

He got hard core on Castroneves attempt to pass him again during those vital, final laps, but held him at bay. Great stuff!

Glad that he shattered my doubts about him. Congratulations to Sato! Congratulations to Japan!

Congratulations to Alonso as well for maintaining the highest race speed average until a mechanical failure intervened. I hope he returns again.
