I'll be there doing a few of the events.

I'll be arriving in NZ after Easter so I may go to Whangarei, even Canterbury is a possibility but I will likely be settling in down in Queenstown in June. So a late season trip back up to the North Island is more likely.
I think that'll be a big event in November if the hype for Rally NZ to return to WRC at this year's Otago is anything to go by. But as it was my first trip to NZ I don't know if that was just the norm for Kiwis watching rally cars!
Spectator numbers at Otago this year were up a bit over recent years I thought, noticeably more but not by a huge margin.
Hayden in the AP4 Hyundai seemed to be a pretty big drawcard, a bit like the way extra people turned out a few years ago because Ari Vatanen was contesting the classics in a BDA. I talked to quite a few people that year who were there mainly because they had either seen Ari in action in the 80s or had never seen him drive in person but always wanted to.
You might have to keep an eye on the accomodation situation in Queenstown, it is often tight in the skiing season and summer tourist season.

I wonder about holding a WRC in Tauranga, a number of people will probably have to stay in Rotorua or Hamilton, Tokoroa possibly or use air BnB etc.
If we do get the WRC back I might have to make a trip to the North Island! Usually try to avoid the place...
