Vettle says the view through the shield is so distorted it made him dizzy, and the air flow pushed his head forward.

I hope they continue down this road and work out the kinks. It should be possible to create shields that do not cause distorted vision, just like they also can create rear mirrors that do not mess with your depth perception. However, this obviously is a bad start.
Perhaps we need a new project like the Ferrari Sigma to test these things outside of Formula One?
