A couple of races ago we heard Kimi on the radio saying "You don't have to shout" or something to that effect, after being told to let Grosgean by. What would make him willing to do that if he's getting paid for the points he earns? How would the team dare to even ask him?
But these same drivers don't seem to mind when their team mate is asked to move over for them, so like in any job a bit of give and take is expected.
