In this case, it's impossible a car running over the photographers. Maybe an accident after a brake failure could happen in the left bend before the junction, but never in that right junction. There are hundreds of bends more dangerous than that hairpin in every rally. If you know it, it's an obvious compression effect, as Fly_Half said. There are dozens of meters from the angle of the hairpin to the place where the photographers are standing (if you don't believe me you can see this last year's video:

Another point is talking about photographers who think that a media vest is a suit or armour or saying that spectators in the South of Europe are crazier than spectators in the North of Europe. These should be discussed in another thread.
There are better or worse rallies than this, but please don't throw biased information on a rally which at least work in security at the same level as the others of the Championship.
