Buddy, how does this thing work. Especially since most people are mixing chassis with other engines. This is my first time so be patient with me.

You pick a team that adds up to 48 - two drivers, one 3rd driver, and a chassis and engine. The reason the engine is now team specific is because we no longer have many engines to choose from. Since there are basically four engines to choose from changing this to team specific, mclaren-renault, for instance, gives us more options in selecting a team.
You Do Not have to choose the same team for chassis and engine (and for drivers). You can mix and match whatever you want so long as your team does not goes over the 48,000,000 million budget cap.
