The circuit is even longer than Spa in its full layout (7,220m), so they are using the layout that is about 4,900m.
The track may be too long for the likes of the promoter. The US Superbike rounds will run the full layout, which is used by sportscar racing.
The other problem, according to track officials, is WSBK's request for advertising boards. They want a clean track -- no advertising signs anywhere. As a result, they will place their signs around just the permimeter track, and the infield signs will be for the AMA US Superbike series.
Of course, the Russians are a bit miffed. Will the boss trade AK-47?
Will there by controversy by the stewards?
The track is owned by Larry Miller, whose holdings include the NBA Utah Jazz, which plays at EnergySolutions Arena. The EnergySolutions Arena was the site of the infamous figure skating scandal involving judges at the 2002 Winter Olympics.
