The strong mountain winds and the long service pauses probably didn’t help, but I leaved Marão a bit disappointed with Neuville test. It’s fair to say that today stage was slower than the one used by Meeke last Tuesday, still the i20 seems to miss the ‘wildness’ of the C3. For sure a few tests runs means very little (specially without yet seeing the Fiesta and the Yaris), but from these two short sightings I got the feeling that the i20 is the ‘normal’ upgrade of a ’16 car, while the C3 is a sort of ‘UFO’ that landed in rally world!
Perhaps I’m exaggerating, or perhaps Mexico and Corsica day 1 were really the first indications that Meeke becomes too fast for competition every time he’s in full control of the C3...time will tell.

Is there a particular reason why Citroen have sponsor liveries on their test cars and all the other teams don't (apart from the odd logo of the manufacturer and tyre provider)?
btw I really like the look of the just plain white cars.
