Bulacia is suddenly a WRC2 Pro driver?
Will earn points there :)

Route preview. Basically all same stages as last year with some tweaks in the length. Mina Clavero is also now reversed so all Sunday stages are uphill

Finally only maximum 20 FIA cars :(
...and amazing 50% of entries are WRC rally winners! For comparison, the same figure was 5,2% in RAC 1985. Go imagine.
Statistics almost as incredible as Łukasz Pieniążek's WRC2Pro win-loss record this year... :D
I'm surprised that they struggle so badly for entries in Argentina, as in the region there are half a dozen R5s in the Chilean Championship (last year anyway) that aren't on the list (almost all the co-drivers are Argentinian) and on the little talked about but pretty incredible Paraguayan scene* they've got 16 R5s on the entry list for the opening round of their main Championship this weekend, including four Polo's. Again, there are quite a lot of Argentinian co-drivers there too.
*I've been meaning to start a thread about Paraguay for a while. Some intriguing stuff going on there!
I just use this https://www.rally-maps.com/Rally-Argentina-2019
The problem is that it is a bit complicated to enter Argentina. Usually, teams have a lot of problems with Customs.
One month ago, for the first round of Codasur Championship in Argentina, all the teams from Paraguay and Bolivia had a lot of problems to go across Argentina border. They were 3 days waiting for some decision of the Argentine Police.
And regarding Chilean drivers, I think that the fact that Rally Chile will be two weeks later (and also a round of their National Championship), the teams don't want to risk not competing there if there is any problem at Argentina rally.
Hmm, finish at Villa Carlos Paz or at El Condor? Anyone?
Thanks guys, but which one should then be considered as, let's say "official" finish of the rally?
When the car has passed the last TC (not including everything else, that can change when found).

Toyota drivers and Neuville the only ones who have won this event. Yesterday and the day before seemed to be quite rainy and chill judging by the pictures i saw on twitter.
Its gonna rain heavily before friday.
My favourite for the win is Tänak, but it's again down to the durability of the car. Also I would predict that Ogier and Neuville will be the closest rivals. Maybe Evans also with his good pace in 2017 and the previous rallies? Meeke also probably fast but will he make it to the finish without mistakes and/or punctures? The weather will also play an interesting role. Heavy rains could make the roads rougher and the river crossings more tricky, even if it wouldn't rain during the rally.
Out of the top 3 Tanak is indeed a favorite due to road position + last year win, Ogier never won here and drives a different car, Neuville will likely clean the road (as long as it doesn't rain all the time).
Outside of these it's actually very hard to guess the performance, there are quite many drivers that will have extra focus on them for different reasons:
Evans - will he confirm the Corsica form and bounce back from his bad 2018 performance in Argentina (after great 2017 on DMACKs)?
Meeke - 6-6-5-9 is not exactly a great record, even though points (in part due to PS) are good, now it's time to start getting some results without issues
Lappi - only had competitive speed in 1 out of 4 rallies and 2 crashes/retirements
Latvala - has basically the worst season of all fulltime drivers, also only competitive in 1 rally but not even scoring points there, Corsica had to be an alltime low with no speed and 2 punctures on top
Suninen- after a disastrous start of season Corsica was very good (considering first time in WRC), will he continue on that or go back to crashing?
Mikkelsen - was fighting in top 3 on all rallies he drove so far, which is nice, but 2 retirements out of 3 are terrible, needs to get to finish even at a "risk" of a worse finish. But finishing worse than 5th is too bad.
Sordo is about the only driver without any real pressure on him.
Monday wrc2 test, nice passes from Bulacia

Insanely excited for this rally! Does anyone know where I can find stage closing times? I'm not sure how close I'll be able to drive towards the start of the stages. Any tips from other rallies would be greatly appreciated!

Fridays stages will close sometime on Thursday.
Sunday's stages will close when authorities deem them to be full of campers. This has happened as early as Friday night in the past.
Sorry not sure about Saturday's stages.
The crowds in Argentina can be huge. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time and expect to walk in for several kilometres. It is realistic to relocate within a stage between 1st & 2nd pass of cars. It is very challenging to move from one stage to another on the same day.
A big part of Argentine is experiencing the atmosphere created by the local fans.
