Formula E forum?

Will there be a Formula E forum?

Thats a good point. We dont really have anything which will cover it as of now as its a new category of motorsport.

I'd second (or third or whatever) a Formula E forum; only a couple of months now before it all gets underway. And yes, it could be a catch-all category for all alternatively-fuelled racing series, of which there will presumably be more and more over the next few years.

Surely a general "Other" category could be used for this and many other series that also don't fit the current categories?

+1. This could then include stuff like sprinting and hillclimbing plus photography. I know it doesn't get a lot of airing on here anyway but at least an 'All other motorsport' forum is more likely to get posts than a Formula E specific one.

Looks like it's getting UK TV coverage on ITV4 which could be good.

I think this is the best idea. Maybe rather than a sub forum just for Formula E.

I know I posted occasionally in the National motorsport forum, but that close? Maybe a Other Motorsport would allow any other motorsport discussion that is not possible now.

Surely an "Other motorsport - including Formula E" would be more popular than one just for Formula E?!

It is!

Nicki Shields (who did their Goodwood coverage) is going to present.
Jack Nicholls and Dario Franchitti as commentators.

However, anyone know what times the races start?

GP2 forum is quite passive. Le Mans/GT isn't particularly active either. Just to name a few.

Maybe some things can be united. What about touring & sports cars racing combined? And then what about Open-wheel racing forum, including GP2 and Formula E?
