The #29 Shell-Penzoil Chevrolet driven by Kevin Harvick
will pull off the double
Its got to be junior for me.
Stewart, Earnhardt, or Gordon. Gilliland and the Busch brothers also have strong cars.
Daytona is a crapshoot, it will depend on who has the help to get in front coming to the checkered flag.
There are several fast cars with good drivers wheeling them.
We can't know who will win until the last lap, restrictor-plate racing is just so unpredicable !
I picked Johnson because the 48 team is really on their game.
However Stewart, Harvick, Dale Jr, Jeff Gordon or even Michael Waltrip could win it .....
There are probably 15 or more drivers that could win today, Daytona is edge-of-your-seat racing.
:D :up:Quote:

I will enjoy seeing Harvick coming up through the field to start dominating the race
I wouldn't be at all surprised if a 'dark-horse' won the 500 today. While Tony Stewart has had the strongest car all Speedweeks I believe he will come up just short.
Among the guys who have looked good this week are Gilliland, Rudd, Montoya, Burton and Marlin. The guy who could really surprise everyone though could be Stremme. The #40 car looked really strong in the Gatorade Duel and don't be too surprised to see him in contention at the end.
Above all lets hope that we have a good and safe race.
I think Stewart could pull it off. But I think one of the geriatric drivers could make it too.
Ah, the excitement of youth versus the wisdom of age .....
I could see Ricky Rudd taking that Yates horsepower to Victory Lane ..... :D
I think it will be Gordon or Johnson, but I'll be really happy if it's Montoya or one of the Toyotas.
OK, its 3pm...
Got my 2003 Brickyard 400 Tshirt on, my Goodwrench coat (cant wait for Darlington so I can get a Shell one), my hat, my headset plugged into the computer so I can listen to the #29 on the trackpass pit command...
Lets go RACIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
woooohoooooooooo lets get to racing :D
only about 20 minutes away
GO 29, 31, 07, 20, 42!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Montoya will pull a stunner.
Or Stewart or Junior. Not Harvick though.
Green Flag out.
and watch out for the 29, hes good :D
Gilliland leads the first lap
Harvick already picked up 10 spots in 4 laps :D
Gilliland has lead every lap going into first commercial break already
Boris went a ride through the grass on lap 16, caution out
like I said before it doesn't matter where you start,
Gordon 42nd, now 20th
Harvick 34th, now 13th
Rudd 2nd, now 21st
Fox already has made their first hiccup. they failed to show us the pits live
Kurt Busch now in the lead
How did Junior get the #1 pit stall?
The driver & crewchief pick their stall according to where they qualified.Quote:

#60 Boris Said spun out by himself, aero loose from other cars might have contributed, but no one touched him.Quote:

you normally don't want the first stall at Daytona or Talladega, espcially under a green flag pitstop. because you lose so much time getting back up to speedQuote:
