The obvious pick would be Atkinson, but apart from the final result, Duval did equaly good. New team, new car, new codriver. For that, I'd pick Francois.
I chose Andersson, new to 4wd, new car and lots of problems throughout the rally. I'm impressed by his results.
Yeah, I also picked PG.
i choose Loeb, he did not give much chanses to the others, a win by minutes even cruising the half of the event makes it difficult to call anyone else a star.
PG for me, mostly because pace of the suzuki was more or less surprise for me and pace of PG was the real surprise! Maybe tarmac is easier for a newcomer than gravel, but still it was a great performance imho!
I doubt if to vote Atkinson or P-G. But anyway Loeb has bad luck that he's permanent star so that noone will vote him :D
Loeb is always the star, so it´s no point in giving it to him. I voted PG, but bpth Atko and Duval did very good jobs!
PG for sure, for a car with all those problems on day one and first time in wrc, its a great surprise, of course he benefited from the retirements, but he posted some really good times.
Brocolli - the speed and control in the Clio compared to the N4 guys was superb, made them look very ordinary.
Of the WRC guys...Loeb was in cruise control god knows how far ahead he could have been so it has to be PG for bringing the Suzuki home and doing well on the debut. Atko was also very good.
Broccoli was also good but in case of almost no competition in classes below WRC his perofmance is hard to judge.
Hmmm...Brocolli and Mercier for me....but i voted for Atkinson given his car and the guy he beat.
Loeb did nothing more than his usual massarce of the opposition.....
Loeb, you can clearly see the difference in speed when he passes you on a stage compared to other drivers, he is just faster. The rally was very tricky and he managed to win it in such a style.
My heart said anyone but Loeb, but my head said he's the only choice. No one else was near him.
Come on guys don't let him make it 5 championships in a row!
Conrad. He got further through a WRC event in a WRCAR than he has before. Well done Conrad. Most improved award goes to you.
:champion: atko king of monte
Just because Seb usually gets it, doesn't make him any less worthy of winning it once more.
Nobody else can come close to him :)
Loeb-no doubt !! Second after him Alex Broccoli.
I enjoyed the fact that this time Loeb cleared the competiton in 2 stages....usually he needed 2 days...but still i think Brocolli and Mercier did a fantastic job.
Subaru.
The car was clearly faster and more important, reliable than in years. And they got both cars to finish line scoring decent manu points.
Natural choice would be Loeb but Atko did a great job keeping Duval behind so my vote goes to him.
I voted in PG Andersson..
He did an excellent job in his debut with a WRC!
This was tough. For me it was a toss up between Atko and PG.
I would say Duval, because he drove like a maniac and because he would have been 3rd if he hadn't stalled at the start of the stage.
To me, Atkinson was the star thanks to his resistance against Dudu for final podium place ;)
From the choices I voted PG, but I am equally impressed by Brocolli for his superb result.
I am impressed by the R3 cars, promise a lot for the future if the price is kept down !
Very tough!
Loeb,Atkinson and PG all of them deserves it!
Seb. Nobody else didn't have a chance to win Monte.
My vote would go to Pirelli - OK JML had punctures, but they were self inflicted. Overall I think they contributed positively to a world championship round. I know it was playing to teh spectators with such a massive lead but Loeb was quite sliding on the Monye superspecial. Of the available choices on the poll I go with Atko.
pft atko...
Although I think Chris did a dammed good job at getting a podium with the struggling Subaru, I think PG deserves it.
Hes jumped in a new car which is no where near up to its potential speed, had little Monte experience and beaten his far more experienced team mate (Toni) on possibly the most difficuilt surface of the WRC calendar.
Top notch!
I voted for Atkinson on his 2nd career podium finish but Duval equally deserves the credit for making the battle for podium very interesting and nail biting. Both Chris and Duval did fatastic job, especially they didn't go off the road when pusing hard :D
I chose.... Per Gunnar Andersson...
Alex Broccoli - he make history with this Clio R3. After him - P.G. Andersson.
"Does not itch me at all" for the fifth time could Sebastien Loeb win the Rally Monte Carlo and over takes thereby Rallylegends such as Sandro Munari, Tommi Maekinen, or Walter Röhrl.
NO COMPARISON: Walter Röhrl does not see Monte today as at his times, it´s completely different.
Loeb had yesterday won the Rally Monte Carlo for the fifth time and had set up thus a new record. "that today is however completely different world and completely different Rally as in order to my times with the special stages, he would have to win this Rally already ten times " alludes Röhrl to the clearly shorter distance and the absence of the famous "night of the Turinni". "at that time there were still 15 people, which could win.
Today it is unfortunately only one driver. It is unfortunate that Sebastien Loeb is perfectly competitionless. I would also gladly in former times to have had that same shance.
" Respect for the today's world champion " say Walter.
Couldn't agree more :up:Quote:

PG.First rally with a WRC with a new car, strong performance
Citroen Sport. New engine, new tyres, new boss but the same GREAT result!
Sure Loeb was unbeatable, but among the others the most outstanding performance came from Chris. ;) He seems to have very good nerves as it seems to become like a tradition that he manages to win close battles in the end (also against Hirvonen and Latvala last year in MC and NZ respectively).
