Anyway, in Spain there are Clio R3 Challenge, Evo Cup (Not really a cup, but gives money to best Mitsus in both gravel and tarmac), Producción Rally Racing (Gr.N Evo X in both tarmac and gravel events), Copa Suzuki Swift, and Fun Cup (VW Golf II in gravel). There are also lots of trophies in regional championships...
Mitsubishi Evo Cup and Subaru Cup in Italy ;)
Now we have a big fight in Slovenia between two organisers, who wants to organize Dacia Sandero Cup (1.6, cca 100 HP) and Renault Clio Cup (the old one, 1,4 16V with 100 HP). But there is no room (money) for both, so we will see who will succeed. ;)
Renault Twingo, made in our country, is too expensive. Even if is quite the same as R1 ...
I just hope something WILL be organised (always ideas at the beggining of the season, never realised)
Fiesta R2 in Finland

Easy I know the guy who organizes the Clio Cup in Spain... :DQuote:

It's better to wait until 2011... Manufacturers are returning to National Championship, and Peugeot Spain is waiting for looking at how does 2010 champ evolve (Skoda & Ford continuity, Fiat return...) to decide the return of their official entry, that would come with the 207 Cup, cancelled this year due to small number of entries.Quote:

I heard about a two car/team effort for 2011, but it's still extremely indefinite ("vague" in French, I can't translate properly :p )
Fiat will come back in Spanish Championship the next year ? Who will be the driver(s) ? :p
Fuster is said to enter a Punto S2000, but he still owns a Porsche, so we'll see... I forgot that Suzuki will have an official team, with Gorka Antxustegi and a very experimented and quick driver... I'll stop, I don't want to make an OT of this topic... :D

What is the specs of the Clio R3 in the different cups that is run:
Access
Premium
Maxi
What are the differences btw them, and the prices to buy them new ?
Clios r3 are available in access or maxi specs. You can upgrade your maxi to evo spec.
Access costs 32,6k euro for kit and 9,8k for parts from series model to build complete rally car.
Maxi costs 49,6k euro for kit. 7,7k euro for gravel kit. Also some parts from series model needed.
Main differences between access and maxi are: different suspension (not only dampers (bilstein/ohlins) but also different front and rear axles), different brakes (no hydraulic handbreake in access), no "pedal box" in access and of course different engine (200hp in access, 230 in maxi)
Evo is an upgraded maxi with different - carbon airbox, more powerfull engine (250hp/8500revs max comparing to 230hp/7800revs max in maxi). There are also many different upgrades available like different final drive, different driveshafts, waterducts, rear brakes etc.
When buying maxi kit you receive bodyshell, complete front and rear suspension (ohlins dampers, axles etc.), brakes, interior (dashboard with display, seats, belts, fire system), pedal box, ecu, electric loom, engine, gearbox with driveshafts and 4 rims. In gravel kit you've got: suspension parts (i.e. different dampers, springs), brakes, 4 gravel rims, and different sumpguard plus fuel tank cover.
You have to build the car from the kit by your own, as far as I know Renault Sport is not selling complete cars.
You can buy Clio R3 in top spec with all available upgrades for around 90k euro from different teams using them in Europe.
I don't know exact specs of the Clios competing in cups in different countries.
In Sweden:

Volvo Original, old Volvo cars. http://www.volvooriginal.com

62000 euro for tarmac kit plus 7800e for gravel conversion kit.
kits available from end of october/november 2010
Plus donorcar, then we are at 90 000€ aprox ?
How much is a Clio R3 Maxi ?
And how will those two compare in speed ?
yep. also you have to build your rally car from that kit - it also costs.Quote:

I don't know any comparision between those two cars. surely clio is currently more reliable as it is widely used all over europe. citroen is brand new project. and it's complete new technology and completely new approach to group R rally car - 1,6 turbo engine, gearbox with paddle shift, etc. I should know something more about citroen after wrc in bulgaria.
