It isn't DS3 R5 because Smailov were in class 7 (WRC/RRC class) in the entry list of Turku so it is more likely DS3 RRC.

it was DS3 RRC from PH-Sport.
class rule in FC Tampere (Pirelli ralli) is bit wierd:
SM1 (class 1) contains R5 and S2000 (RRC is S2000 1.6T) (Arctic Rally: Tuohino Fiesta R5 and Tahko with Mini S2000 1.6T)
class 7: WRC, RRC, R5
Massive crash from Finnish rallysprint championship...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23UJxPrL0DM
Yep, saw that on our little American forum... a freind--who has worked in rally or race teams for years mentioned that the cage looked like a late 90s specification cage, and I commented that I agreed, and added "it sure seemed to work for this guy--just like we've seen on 1000 other violent rolls from Finland"
And rthen it descending into shit-talk because I dared suggest the our US corporations which sanction rally require basically what is full current spec WRC car cage for every single car, all new builds...
Are you familiar with Finnish rules on cages? I can't read enough Finnish to even find the cage rules---Only one offical language and nothing in your other official language--which I speak---so I guess I'm being oppressed!
Can you point me to rules sections on cages?

If you look carefully, you can see a car crashing in the background. It was not the first... #fcup#Heinola

That place on SS5 was 12 rolls and 11 offs to my count. We saw 10 rolls and 9 offs. There were bad crash places on SS1 (four just after 1st km) and SS3 (four after midway through), and of course several others. Best things is that as far as I know no ambulances on stages.
Jaska Nuorala renewed his F-Cup title as his biggest rivals fell in misfortunes. Also Nuorala drove very well today. He is still the fastest man behind the wheel of Volvo 240.
Next weekend is the last event of Finnish championship. Statistically it could turn out a breaking point as for the first time ever foreign drivers can take titles. Kruuda and Koitla lead their classes. It'll nice event too, a lot of SS kms on Saturday. Stay tuned.
