And Boland ;)
Looking at this video, especially the first part the "body language" of the Ford looks good. I think potentially the Ford, Citroen and Hyundai will be close. Surely some will have advantages and disadvantages in certain conditions but to my "amateur" eye they are all looking good. Even more hyped for this season :D The only problem is one "thing" in the WRC is still in a higher class than the rest, hopefully someone can "level up" ;)
We are all hyped but realistically everyone will be cautious with setup and driving in the first 4-5 rounds. The real action should begin in 2018 when they spend their first homologation jokers.
Are you serious? What's the point of being "cautious" (really a strange word to use in Rallysport) for so long? They'll go flat out from day 1. If some, possibily Citroen, will show some advantage, the others will try to fight back the next event, not the next season...
after all the testing, and new regs, cars etc. they will have a point to prove of who is quickest, best set up and so on. no way will they be holding back and why should they, they will be at 10/tenths!!
Unless we get some dry monte stages where they all choose the same tyres we're probably not going to be able to tell much about car performance this weekend.
I'm personally much more excited for the start of this WRC season than previous ones. New car regs, some big driver changes and a new team joining, plus previously dominant VW leaving should all shake things up nicely.
