No cars coming again. I don't know why in the moment.
It's raining again.
BOUFFIER
ABBRING
V.VERSCHUEREN
3 fastest till now
Neuville quickest.
Neuville 1,7 faster
Sorry, it was a typo (automatic corrections). It was not raining. It's completely dry.
Haha, great time by Neuville, but battle for second could be a lot of fun. I won't doubt the seeding system so much again......

Good to see the BRC (uk) leader Freddie Ählin matching the qually time of the other top driver's (WRC man Neuville ahead of all as expected).
Åhlin has improved a lot over the last few years. He was not that far behind Evans in BRC last year, so I think he is ready to step up to a full season in WRC2. Hopefully he is able to find the budget. Maybe Malcolm Wilson is able to help? If Suninen manages to find a seat in a World Rally Car?
Will be very interessting with 5 x i20 R5 among the 40 ish R5s on the list.

I heard a strong rumour that the Hyundai's of Neuville and Dilley were too light when being weighed after the qualifying stage. Any more info about it?
Nightmare first evening for Lim. Convinced Hyundai sent him out with a duff car. He got a few metres out of his awning and the car seemed to be crabbing like a wheel wasn't attached. So they had to stop and go back. Then he's pitched off by what looks like broken suspension in his second run. Then in a later third run he goes off (own fault I think) and breaks a wheel.
Lo-res shot from QS. More to come after the rally.

I was also surprised with Åhlins time. I always saw him as a bit of a semi good rally driver that wouldn't make an impact anywhere but maybe on a national level.
But ok, sure, it is only one short QS and the rally proper will show where he really stand against world class drivers...
Fredrik was always a good driver, but he has lost a lot in his career as he was focusing immediatelly and directly to WRC2, without proper experience and budget. Step down (this time to BRC) helped him a lot, like to lot of other drivers...
And we will see what will be his strategy in race. If he will try to fight with Neuville or local drivers or he will focus to keep points in BRC.

Nice live coverage on YT of the start, plus interviews and highlights of the Qually.
Basso went off a bit at our spot. Just few seconds lost
Good start by Bouffier and Basso. The italian championship holds a very high level, clearly. Shame more youngsters from there doesn't get the chance internationally.
Neuville hits the front after SS2.
