Skoda Fabia of Meeke for Condroz

Interesting detail. His experienced codriver (Renaud Jamoul) is distributor of D-Mack in Belgium, but it seems like they will drive with Michelin tyres anyway...
Yes, it sounds odd, but might be true. In the past I did some ERC event with at that time WRC driver and he was obliged to use Michelin tires, even when at that moment it was not ideal choice. But he had a deal with Michelin as WRC driver and can't use anything else...

Design for Lefebvre. Also the news today that Guillaume De Mevius won't be participating, so only 2 C3 R5's (Lefebvre and Demaerschalk).
Kris Meeke:
Pleased to confirm that I’ll be back in competition next weekend on the Rallye du Condroz, in a latest-spec Skoda Fabia R5 run by the Italian team Metior.
This is a rally I’ve done before, of course – and in an R5 car – so it’s a good way for me to get back into action as I continue preparing for the 2019 season with Toyota Gazoo Racing WRC. I have to thank Michelin for its support in bringing the Condroz appearance together; this type of thing is only really worth doing if you do it properly, and that means having the right car and the right tyres on it.
I’ll be co-driven by Renaud Jamoul, a Belgian navigator who has enjoyed some success in a Skoda in France this year with Quentin Gilbert. Condroz is always a tricky rally – not least because the weather in Belgium can’t be taken for granted in November – but I’m really looking forward to it.

The entry list for Condroz has been published. 25 R5 cars of which 18 Fabia, 3x C3, 3x Fiesta and 1x DS3. Meeke and Lefebvre will probably face some good competition from Fernémont, Cherain, Princen, Verschueren, Bédoret, De Mevius, Demaerschalk etc. Other than that a nice variation in the entry field. The event has been getting shorter compared the last few years, with only 212km SS and stages that are a bit less interesting than they used to be in the past.
