I can imagine it was a big pain in the butt, with all the points that can be earned per race. Finish position, laps led, etc. It'd be interesting, but I wouldn't want to do it either. ;)Quote:

It's more work than it's worth, and it still doesn't work very well for F1. For example, under the NASCAR system, you have to complete one lap to score points (in a system that's set up for 43 starters), and at Indy last year, 7 drivers were taken out at turn one. So the 15th place driver got 118 points and everyone taken out at turn one got 0.
