Twice Champions League winners, twice runners up and 3 times knocked out in the Semi-finals I think.
United have been quite clumsy in Europe in my opinion. They should never have let Bayer Leverkusen beat them in the 2002 semi final, in 2004 they had beaten eventual winners Porto until Tim Howard spilled a last minute free kick, a few years ago they were cruising 3-0 against Bayern and somehow let them win on away goals.
