Extended Project Qualification on Formula 1

I’m doing an EPQ in year 12 and I’m looking at doing it on F1. I have 2 ideas. One is How have fatalities and major incidents impacted safety development in F1? and the other is Is the FIA changing the regulations in F1 to reduce competition with teams and drivers? can I have your thoughts please?

Also, does anybody have contacts for people in F1 or other motorsports or the FIA who have roles in safety?

I have a passion for Formula 1 and I see this project as a way of me learning more about it and I feel like this will be a pretty fun project to do as a qualification.
