Myself, 306 Cosworth, pettersolberg29 and Allyc85 are going to be spectating MC next month. Arriving at Nice -13/1, staying at Sigoyer near Gap for 4 nights. Following the rally south on the Friday night with accommodation in Menton overnight then one of the Saturday stages. We'll visit service in Monaco after the stages then back to Nice for the Sunday morning flight home.
Any advice form old Monte experts sought and happily received. Most importantly, how easy is it to use the non-competitive link sections or are these also closed to public traffic?
The route on ACdeM site has changed since the Summer but their detailed maps are due any day now
Maurin - Fiesta WRC
Baud - FIesta WRC
confirmed MC is their first goal of the year.
The most important advice is to be everywhere very early. There are few roads in the mountains and they can easily get jammed. Especially for places like Col de Turini even 4 hours ahead might not be safe. Of course You can try to make as many stages as possible arriving last minute but it's a gamble. Also count with really low average speed on the mountain roads when You make planning, especially in case of snow.Quote:

Otherwise on stages it's pretty free where You stand and what You do except few crowded places such as the already mentioned Col de Turini. I recommend to take a walk for finding Your place. Good thing also is that there are no entry tickets, all rally is free for spectators.
