Must admit, I actually like it, and I didn't expect to.

Personally speaking, it's the kind of car - Hot Hatch - that should be in the WRC - get back to Production based cars.

Can't wait for the stripped-back R-spec to tackle the Nurburgring.
Not hugely keen on it but I'm sure it'll be a great drive.
Doesn't Renault Megane have a brother named Paul?
The Megane II hatch was a truly horrid looking thing, from the same design team that brought you the abortion on wheels the Vel Satis. The Megane III is a vast improvement.
I really hope that they haven't tweaked too much with the geometry and suspension on the car though. The Renaultsport Megane 225 I imagine was probably even better than the regular Megane which felt nice to drive. The Megane III I should imagine should be better with another 50 horsies to play with under the right foot.
I'm wondering though with that pinched D-pillar (?), how good the vision out of the rear of the car is though. The Megane II had a bay window in the back (and a little flower box underneath), but I wonder if this will suffer the same sort of vision problems as the Impreza or the Mazda 3.
If you want crappy vision try the 500. Rear side windows are just useless.
